Licensing
You may need a license for your scooter! So now that you know a little bit about the scooter lifestyle and the brands we offer, now it’s time to learn if you will need a license and where to get one! If you choose to get one of our fuel efficient 50cc scooters, you will not need a license in the state of Oregon.
Want to go on the freeway? You will need a minimum 150cc scooter or motorcycle. We have many different engine sizes and will happily introduce you to the scooter or motorcycle that suits you!
Before you start riding, we recommend taking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Rider Course. You’ll be more confident and secure, not to mention safer. We love TEAM Oregon rider training, they even feature Genuine Buddies in their scooter specific classes! In most states, the MSF Rider Course qualifies graduates for lower insurance premiums.
